Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive and detail-oriented Quality Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality by managing the Quality Management System (QMS), monitoring and reporting Quality key performance indicators (KPIs), lead root cause investigations, and spearhead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives. This role supports continuous improvement efforts and ensures compliance with internal protocols, regulatory requirements and facility specific OSHA and Safety standards.

Job Description

Quality Management

  • System Oversight. Develop, implement and maintain departmental procedures, checklists, and work instructions working with process area owners.
  • Standard Training. Educate personnel on quality and safety requirements to ensure consistent application across all operations.
  • Data Analysis. Track and report on quality metrics and KPIs (e.g., defect rates, first-pass yield, escaping defects) to identify trends and provide actionable business insights and improve quality performance. Support data-driven decision-making through clear and accurate reporting.
  • Regulatory Alignment. Maintain all documentation and quality records to ensure compliance with AS9100 and other relevant standards and requirements.
  • Audit Representation. Represent product Quality Control in customer and AS9100 audits.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigation Leadership. Lead and support investigations in quality deviations and non-conformances.
  • Root Cause Analysis. Utilize industry-standard tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA) to identify underlying issues.
  • CAPA Management. Design and execute Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to mitigate future risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related challenges and drive process efficiency.
  • Safety Culture. In conjunction with Operational leadership and Human Resources, promote a workplace culture of safety, accountability, and commitment to excellence.
  • Training & Education. Provide coaching, training, & guidance to manufacturing team members related to product and process quality and safety.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with technical products and quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with computers including Windows and Microsoft office products
  • Ability to read and understand technical product documentation (drawings, specifications, bills of material)

How You Will Be Rewarded

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$110,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive total rewards approach to compensation, providing incentives and benefits that extend far beyond the base salary. Compensation is determined by the candidate’s work experience, education, training, and relevant skills.
